Meat-lovers Feast at Carnivore

The Carnivore restaurant is considered 'Africa's greatest eating experience' and has even been voted one of the top 50 restaurants in the world. As the name suggests, Carnivore is a true meat lover's paradise, and its open-air dining experience adds to the memorable atmosphere.

Boasting an 'all the meat you can eat' menu, the restaurant is centred around a large open fire pit, where the meat is roasted to perfection on traditional Maasai swords (skewers). The waiters then carry these swords to your table, carving unlimited amounts of prime meats onto sizzling, cast iron plates in front of you. A selection of salads and variety of exotic sauces accompany the meat feast. All of this after you have had your soup, and before the dessert and coffee - you're guaranteed to leave satisfied.

While there is plenty of excellent beef, chicken, lamb and pork on offer, the real attraction here is the local game meats. Although you can no longer eat zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest or any other protected game, you can still try crocodile, camel and ostrich - which are farmed for their meat in Kenya.

And the sizzling meats will only stop coming once your table surrenders its flag.

The Carnivore is also the home of the Simba Saloon, one of Nairobi's most popular nightclubs and discos. The informal outdoor atmosphere, exceptional snacks and outstanding entertainment ensure a vibrant and exciting night out.
