Hell's Gate Adventure

Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Hell’s Gate - Nairobi

Depart Nairobi and head north towards the Rift Valley town of Naivasha. On route we will stop for views across the Great Rift Valley, Mt Longonot and Lake Naivasha. We pass through Naivasha town and drive around the southern end of the lake, past the flower farms to the entrance of Hell's Gate National Park.

Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you, and you are transported to a dramatic, semi-arid world, with sheer, rugged cliffs, open plains and deep, concealed gorges. Because there are few predators, there are many activities you can do within Hell's Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers - the choice is yours. Picnic lunch in the park.

Late afternoon we depart Hell's Gate for Nairobi for a well-earned hot shower and cold drink.

Transport to/from Nairobi, guide, all entry fees, bike hire, picnic lunch.

Not included
Personal insurance, items of a personal nature, sodas.

Rock climbing can be arranged on the day for 500-1000 Kenyan Shillings (approx US$7-$14) per person, depending on how long you climb for.

Don’t forget to bring
Sunhat, sunscreen, warm fleece or jumper, drinking water, camera and binoculars.
