Watamu Marine Reserve

Watamu is about 2 1⁄2 hrs drive north of Mombassa and just south of Malindi. This relaxed fishing village offers diving, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, and much more. There is a good reef not far off shore and the best way to see it is to travel out by boat and then snorkel. Due to high amounts of plankton fish life is great and whale sharks and manta rays are often spotted not too far out. Getting around can be made a little easier by hiring bikes or just on foot.
